The pomegranate is one of the oldest cultivated fruits in human history, prized for thousands of years across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Asia. Each fruit is filled with hundreds of jewel-like arils bursting with sweet-tart juice rich in antioxidants. Beyond the fruit, pomegranate trees are strikingly ornamental — in late spring and summer, the branches light up with crinkled, scarlet-orange tubular flowers that attract hummingbirds and pollinators.
