Young blueberry start ready for grow-out

Chandler is a USDA-developed highbush blueberry that produces perhaps the largest berries of any commercially available cultivar — routinely quarter-sized with good pruning. Its extended ripening window of four to five weeks (versus roughly three for most varieties) makes it especially valuable for home growers who want a sustained fresh harvest rather than a single concentrated pick. Sweet, firm fruit with classic blueberry flavor. Berry size is directly influenced by pruning and plant management — attentive growers are rewarded with the most impressive fruit.
