Top Hat is a dwarf half-high blueberry — a cross between lowbush (V. angustifolium) and highbush backgrounds — bred specifically for compact growth. Plants stay under two feet, making it a natural fit for containers, edible borders, and small-space gardens. Sweet, full-flavored berries on a plant with brilliant red fall foliage that doubles as ornamental interest. Self-fertile, though yields improve with a second blueberry variety nearby. Requires the same acidic conditions as all blueberries: pH 4.5–5.5, consistent moisture, and adequate sun.
